Tidepooling near Newport, OR
- Yaquina Head Outstanding Natural Area — Cobble Beach's basalt pools below the lighthouse are among Oregon's richest; small entry fee, and sections close for seal pupping and seabird nesting in late spring and summer.
- Otter Rock / Devils Punchbowl Marine Garden — Broad flat reef north of Newport that drains into pool after pool on a minus tide.
- Cape Perpetua, Yachats — Pools, spouting horns, and giant green anemones along the basalt shelf 30 minutes south.
