Tidepooling near Bodega Bay
- Bodega Head — Granite coves on the west side hold deep, clear pools; stay off wet rock when swell is up.
- Shell Beach, Sonoma Coast — A short trail drops to a boulder field full of pools — a local favorite for minus tides.
- Salt Point State Park — Sandstone shelf pools along Gerstle Cove's protected marine reserve, an hour north up Highway 1.
